What is Leukaemia?
Leukaemia is a malignant disease (cancer) of the bone marrow and blood.

It is characterised by the uncontrolled accumulation of blood cells, just as there are many different types of white blood cell, so there are many different types of leukaemia.
Leukaemia is the general term used to describe four different disease-types called:Acute Myelognous Leukaemia (AML)
Acute Lymphocytic Leukaemia (ALL)
Chronic Myelogenous Leukaemia (CML)
Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia (CLL)
Acute Lymphocytic Leukaemia (ALL)
Chronic Myelogenous Leukaemia (CML)
Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia (CLL)
