Visitation to Handicapped And Disabled Children Home on 10-04-2011

Lioness Club of Simpang Renggam visited The Handicapped & Mentally Disabled Children Association Johor Bahru.
We donated foodstuffs & cash in aid of their expenses.
At present in 2011, the HOME cares for 210 people (21 physically impaired, 60 mentally disabled, 19 physically impaired & mentally disabled, 3 visual impaired, 2 hearing impaired, 5 mute, 45 down syndrome, 10 autistic, 16 cerebral palsy, 7 hyperactive, 14 schizophernia, 8 normal abandoned children) including individuals above and below 18 years of age.
The occupants ratio by race is Malay 17 people, Chinese 106 people, Indian 87 people.
The HOME needs and average of over RM90,000 to cover their overall monthly expenses which mainly rely on private donors and contributions.

Blood Test Health Awareness Campaign on 27-03-2011

Lions & Lioness Clubs of Simpang Rengam jointly with Pathlab Kluang done the blood test campaign to create health awareness to the public.
75 local residents registered for the blood test. It starts at 8am and successfully ended at 11.30am.
9 lionesses & 4 lions participated in this project.

Lions Charity Raffle will be held on 16-04-2011 推售慈善彩券

Lions & Lioness Clubs of Simpang Rengam started selling Charity Raffle on 28-02-2011. The net profit of this project will be in aid of Club's Community Projects & Local Charity Organization. This Charity Draw will held on 16-04-2011 at 7.30pm - 9.30pm at Restaurant Guo Tai. The result will published in Utusan Malaysia, The Star & Sin Chew Daily newspaper on 23-04-2011.
